Instructions to Lace Vans Straight Across

Place the toe of the shoe pointed towards the body. Insert the shoe lace downward into the bottom pair of the eyelet or the one which the closer towards the toe of the shoe.

Make sure to pull the string so that there is an even length of the shoe string on each side. Then feed the right end of the shoestring into the second eyelet on the right hand side. After that pull the shoe lace across and down to the matching eyelet which is on the left hand side. Skip the third eyelet from the bottom and pull the shoe lace to the fourth eyelet in the same way.

Now pull the lace across and down into the matching into the forth eyelet on the right hand side and then to the sixth eyelet and skip the forth eyelet. Then start from the bottom and feed the shoelace on the left hand through the third eyelet hole on the left. Pull the shoestring across the matching eyelet on the right hand side and feed it down into the eyelet.Feed the string up through the fifth hole and then pull it across to the fifth eyelet on the left hand side. At last insert it down into the fifth eyelet and then feed it up into the sixth eyelet. Also remember not to skip the holes.

Vans shoes are most commonly worn by teens and adults and should not lace them in a normal way. Straight lacing also eliminates diagonal strings and it makes the shoes look neater and also helps to take the pressure off of the top of foot.
