The founder launched the official business of Vans shoes being offered directly to the customers from the manufacturers in the year 1966. He started the business with three partners, his brother Jim Van Doren, and two friends Serge D Elia and Gordy Lee. The first Vans Shoe store was opened in Anaheim, California.
The Van Doren Rubber Company came into existence on March 15, 1966, where the exclusive vans shoes are directly sold to the customers. On the official day of launching the business, it was announced to offer three different models of Vans Shoes for sale.
